Double-offset vs triple-offset butterfly valves

Choose by medium, sealing requirements, temperature and operating cycles—not by the offset count alone.

Send specification

A double-offset design reduces seat rubbing during operation. Seat material and the manufacturer’s pressure-temperature envelope determine suitability; one generic maximum cannot describe all configurations.

Triple-offset geometry is commonly used with metal sealing. Leakage class, bidirectional sealing and service temperature must still be verified for the actual product and test requirements.

Send medium, pressure, temperature, required leakage class, connection and actuator requirements. Selection also considers opening frequency and available installation space.

Questions & answers

What should an RFQ include?

Valve type, DN, PN or Class, medium, temperature, materials, connection, actuation and quantity. A drawing or nameplate photo helps check compatibility.

Can you select a replacement?

We compare pressure-temperature ratings, face-to-face dimensions, flange drilling and materials. A shared DN alone does not establish interchangeability.

Are documents and certification available?

Certificates and compliance documents depend on the selected product and project requirements. Contact us for confirmation.

How are delivery and price agreed?

The quotation confirms the selected configuration, quantities, documentation, price and delivery terms. No stock or lead time is assumed before confirmation.
